The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done as in heaven, so on earth.

Give us day by day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

LUKE 11:1-4 KJV

One day I was reading this prayer and I came across something very interesting; although I can’t  remember were I read it.

I read that this prayer is not like any other prayer you do before going to bed. This one is special; the article said that the Lord’s prayer was and still is unique. Jesus was praying in a certain place, when he stopped, one of his disciples approached Him and said to him ” Teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples“.

This prayer is a cry to the Lord; “our Father which art in heaven..” this isn’t something that you blurred out like is nothing. This prayer should touch your heart, I think is the perfect prayer. The Lord’s prayer is like a pact you make every time you pray “thy will be done“; sometime we forget that God is in control. Our minds are fulled with disappointment, and lies day by day. We loose sight of He who gave us life, we make Him seem like He’s not big enough to break that which binds us into suffering. Well I tell you my friend He is greater than any problem you can think of. Just because He’s silent doesn’t mean He’s not there for you; He’s just working on something special for you only. You just have to be patient and have faith “..for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible for you.- Mathew 17:20

I’m sitting staring at the screen repeating the words ” our Father which art in heaven”. The payer is very powerful and intimate, although everyone knows it not one experiences it the same way.

God sent us his Son to pardon our sins; this prayer reminds me of that. Even after He died, resurrected and ascended to heaven, Jesus did not leave us alone; he left us a comforter who’s protecting us and guiding us, “and leading us not into temptation”. So when you’re felling blue remember this prayer let it touch your soul, cry out and He’ll  hear you!

” for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”. LUKE 11:10 KJV

I wonder

Being a youth director has been The hardest challenges I’ve ever faced. I mean the way I see things I shouldn’t even have a title like that, I feel like I’m failing miserably as a leader and I probably am. I don’t know how to do this! I’m here laying in bed thinking if I can’t  motivate or help those who are closer to me then how can I help those who are not?
My mind is going round and round trying to figure out what am I supposed to be doing.
I wonder if anything I’m doing or trying to do as a leader is reaching to people around me.
  I just don’t know. ……
